Melbourne Flinders Street Sign. These signs are heritage listed and date back to when the current Flinders Street Station was being built in 1906. The word "Melbourne" was used in the days when Migrants comes off the ships at Port Melbourne (Station Pier) and caught the train into Flinders Street platform 10 and the now closed platform 11 were used by the St Kilda and Port Melbourne Trains. These two lines closed in 1987 and were converted to Light Rail Traffic
